We service our clients with the highest quality Professional Staff and quality products to help them work towards their financial goals. Our services are available to individuals and businesses and are designed to enhance the client's financial health and remain with them as they grow over the years. We accomplish our services through continuing education for our staff and ourselves and in maintaining the latest technology in our office to be able to service our clients. Newman and Associates P.A. has been in Lake County over 27 years. From our humble beginning with one producer, we have expanded to nine (9) producers reporting to our office in Leesburg, as well as an Executive Assistant, Office Manager and a Marketing Manager.
Tom Newman, a native Floridian, was raised in Palatka, Florida where he entered the Life Insurance business in June 1961. He moved to Leesburg, Florida in 1977, after spending 11 years in Orlando. It is in Leesburg that he became a General Agent for General American Life Insurance Company and a Branch Manager for Mutual Service Corporation. Tom is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and received his Masters of Science in Financial Services from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. He is a Principal and Branch Manager, is Series 7 licensed so that he can sell securities, and has recently received his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation from the American College, which enables him to assist clients with their charitable planning. Tom is active in Civic affairs, serving as Past President of the Leesburg Civitan Club and Lake-Sumter Life Underwriters Association, and has served as a Board member of the Leesburg Chamber of Commerce and was the 2001 President of the Operating Board of Hospice of Lake and Sumter Counties. He serves on the Board of the Mid-Florida Estate Planning Council and is a member of the Central Florida Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Tom also graduated from the Leadership Lake Class of 1995. He and wife, Barbara, are active members of New Life Presbyterian Church
Fred entered the life insurance business in 1970, and obtained his (series 7) general securities license in 1972. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). Fred has served as President of a local CLU chapter and is Past President of an area estate planning council. He is active in local civic affairs.
Administrative Assistant Polly entered the life insurance business in 1985. She received both her life/health license and Financial Paraplanner designation in 1989, and her (Series 7) general securities license in 2005. Polly has been involved in the Fruitland Park Elementary PTO for years 2001/2002. She has taken several computer courses over the years in an effort to help service clients in a professional manner. And strives to maintain an up-to-date office by utilizing the newest technology available. She is a graduate of the 2001/2002 Lake County Leadership Program. Professionalism and Efficiency are the keywords Polly stresses in
handling business relationships.
Lil graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1989 with a BSBA in International Management, is a member of the UCF Alumni, and past member of the board of the Fruitland Park Elementary Parent Teacher Organization for 2000/2001 and 2001/2002 school years, and past member of the Entrepreneurship Association of the University of Central Florida. She has worked in a variety of areas including management, customer relations and accounting. Lil entered the life insurance business in 1997. She received her
life/health liscense in 2003. As the Office Manager, she utilizes her
past business experiences, computer knowledge and insurance training to
efficiently service clients.
